Nope! Ki's kinda better and kinda worse. It's worse 'cause it can't do anything like Kai can with magic, but it's better because everyone has ki, you just have to actually train hard to be able to do anything with it.

Anyone can learn how to fly if they work hard enough, for instance!

Well... kinda? Every human has it. I think most aliens have it. But I know, at least, mechanical people don't.

My dad doesn't have anything that's actually ki ki, he just generates unlimited energy.

Fascinating! You'll have to explain this to me in more detail at some point.

I can explain it whenever you want! Flying's kinda hard to learn, but it's the easiest technique there is to actually do, once you know how. But you gotta train your ki up a lot, or you won't be able to do it very long at all.

[And the fact that he's just floating here purely for the fact of floating should say a lot.]

How the hell does an android have a kid?

It's because Dad and Auntie were made from humans. That's why they can have kids.

[He shrugs a little, as if the idea of converting a perfectly normal human to a mechanical infinite-energy death machine is completely average.]

[Okay then! First to the home economics room to grab some stuff that can't be found in the lounge, and then to the lounge where he reclines on a comfy chair and swings his legs almost childishly. Ah, soda, beef jerky and potato chips~ He very much approves of this. Whatever Tenar wanted is left on the table for him.]

So how does a person train and use this ki stuff?

[He's not very picky when it comes to food, perhaps surprisingly for his age, but when you live in the wilds with a half-Saiyan to train stuff up, you learn to take what you can get.]

By training... normally, I guess? It's a part of you, so if your body gets stronger then you'll get stronger in general. My friends and I practiced martial arts and fighting and stuff like that, and it trained it up! But you can also use the ki you have to train it too, especially for control.

[Bakura simply chomps down on his own food, tearing the jerky apart like a wolf eating a sheep.]

I'm actually kinda jealous! Being able to fly like that must be amazing.

One of my teammates! She's a half-Saiyan -- [Oh right, different worlds.] -- half-alien, and her race eats a lot! She can eat twice as much as the rest of us combined!

You're really gonna have to train hard, though... if you never heard of it you've probably never trained it, so I dunno how much you've got to work with.
