[He shrugs a little, able to pick up the annoyance, and just goes back to munching the jerky in silence.]

So Shade-kun told you all my dirty little secrets, then?

I dunno. He said you were a creep and a ghost in the Ring, and that you're using Ryou's body...

I think that was it.

'Creeper' is the word he uses, I think. There's a difference.

[A subtle one.]

If that's all he said, then I guess that's fair. Though I prefer 'spirit' to 'ghost'.

Why, was he supposed to say something else?

[He'll try to remember to use the word spirit for you then, Bakura. But you're still a freaky ghost.]

No. I just wanted to make sure he wasn't slandering me. Shade-kun doesn't like me all that much, after all.

You stabbed him, so I probably wouldn't like you much either.

[Said with all the matter-of-fact tone he can manage.]

Heh... No, he hated me long before that. That was fairly recent, after all.

He never got over the fact that his love interest liked me first, so the two of us never managed to get along.

Would Kai be that upset about it?

Who knows? He's been trying to break apart our friendship since then.

[And in the end it was Ryou that did that... how frustrating.]

[That's about all he's got to say on that. He doesn't really believe that's it, especially since Kai did talk about a friend Bakura was messing with when he explained how he got stabbed in the first place.

But eh. He's not really old enough to care about all this yet. So he'll just file that away to ask Kai a little later.]

But you know... you're kind of strange, kid. Kai warns you away and you come running to find me. Even if you're strong, that's reckless.

You're kinda interesting. You... well, you are a lot of stuff I've never heard of before, because of the whole different worlds thing. And so I wanted to know about it and you.

[He shrugs a little, rolling over again to look at Bakura with his head rested on his arm.]

I'm strong enough to take care of myself, and I wanted to know.

[Throwing his head back, he bursts into peals of laughter.]

We have more in common than I thought! Maybe you would understand my enjoyment of interesting things more than I expected.

[Annnnd there's that freaky laugh again cripes man, do you have to put that much into it?

He frowns a little at Bakura, sitting up and rolling his shoulder back, a little on edge with the chill that sent down his spine.]

Really?

[fluffydeathdealer]

You're annoying, but I like you, kid!

[Lifting a hand, he points at him dramatically as he speaks.]

I think you and I are going to get along just fine.
