[About five showers and a couple of days hiding in her dorm with the heat cranked on later, Karasu finally feels genuinely warm again. The building disappearing had been absolute hell, though she had gotten some nice fur blankets out of it, two of which were still on her bed.

As it is, the Thief King's offer is still ringing in her head some, but she's still uneasy about it. Yeah, she needs the help, but owing him a lot of favors... that's not sitting well.

So clearly, the thing to do would be to figure out what she could without him, which is why she's trying to find Bakura on his own today.]

[fluffydeathdealer]

[It's easy to find him, though it might take her some time anyway before that familiar shock of white spiky hair is spotted. His outfit is a little unorthodox, Malik's dark purple cloak still covering his clothes (and a little too long to not be annoying), but at least the hood is down now, making it clear who he is.]

Ah, Karasu-chan? What's up?

[Apart from him, crouched at the very highest point of the roof to see how far he can see outwards.]

Besides being a little jealous?

[It's a joke, mostly because that cape looks warm.]

I was wondering if I could get your help for something today.

[fluffydeathdealer]

...eh? Jealous-? [He blinks down at her before nodding, getting up and heading to the edge of the rooftop to drop down beside her.]

Turns out there's a guy here with your name, some kind of "thief king." He seemed to actually know about how my other side worked, so he agreed to help me figure it out in return for favors for him for everything he taught me.

Obviously, I don't really want to owe him a lot, so I was wondering if you're free enough to come help me try to figure some of it out myself.

[fluffydeathdealer]

...tch, that guy, huh? [He sounds almost disparaging. But no, no, he doesn't want to show off that side, so he switches it up again, grinning at her sheepishly. That guy... what is he up to?

...probably the same thing he was.]

I don't mind helping, though I don't know what good I'll be! I don't know a huge amount about this sort of thing.

Well, any ideas you have to help out or just being around would make me feel better! I trust you to keep me from going too far and leveling the island or something, you know.

I can do both of those! If you need a grounding influence to keep your other half in check, I'm your man!

Come on, let's go take a walk and we can talk about this stuff on the way. The last thing you want is to run the risk of being seen changing, right?

[She can't say how much. After that stint with Malik, having someone who can actually keep her sane is a nice thing. She nods a little, though, running a hand through her hair.]

Yeah. I mean, that's why I waited until I figured most people were asleep before I tried anything for hunting.

[He nods too, running a hand through his hair almost thoughtlessly.]

I gotta say, the idea of you being in debt to someone who calls himself a Thief King is kind of worrying. Who knows what someone like that might want off of you?

Beats me. Which is why I told him no killing or anything like that. He seemed irritated by it, but it worked, at least...

[She starts off herself, stretching a little with a sigh.]

But, well. I really want to know about the Blue-Eyes, even if it's just how to properly be one. It's something I've had to deal with by myself, and actually finding someone who knows about it... I guess you can say I'm willing to deal with the devil.

I can understand how you feel. [He pats her arm affectionately as he falls into stride beside her.]

H-heh heh, it's an opportunity of a lifetime... but let's try to figure out what we can without his help first.

That's the idea! The less favors I owe him, the better. I'm already some in debt from the whole "Hey, let's get rid of the building and make everyone freeze to death" thing, so...

...uh. Why would you be in debt for that?

Because he's a giant bastard with a knife and I can't do more than bluff, mostly.

If he's accusing you of getting rid of the building, then he's more of a fucking moron than I thought.

Actually, I accused him of that! Jokingly, at least. I would like to see him try to do that, though.

...Though that would be interesting to see. It'd be worth going back into the caves for a day or two.

But then he might end up losing the shendyt from the weight, and that would be a sight nobody needs to see.

[That causes her to stop fully, putting her hands over her eyes with a groan.]
