Well... anything, I guess. I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

[Her hand goes up to run through her hair, suddenly feeling like an idiot as she glances over. Man, that wall sure is interesting!]

Most of what I know about dragons is from having Kaiba hanging around and from what I saw of you... though I do know a little folklore.

[And that flashback of the past. The Blue-Eyes' power...]

That "Blue-Eyes" form of yours... there's got to be a reason you have it. What do you remember of your first time transforming?

First time? Uh...

[She closes her eyes, trying to think. It's really fuzzy, even without her arrival wounds scrambling her memories so far beyond recovery. But there was something. It was before she stopped dying her hair, just before. What...

...wait...]

I remember... someone's voice. I can't really "hear" it now, but there was definitely someone talking. Two people, maybe?

Two people? Do you have any idea who?

[Someone talking... interesting. What could set off a transformation like that?]

No. Can't remember the voices, either. But they were... arguing, I think. About something, I'm not sure. The first voice was... I think it was strong, confident.

[It's strange... like being around Bakura is enough to actually trigger these memories. She didn't even realize this was her first change...]

It -- he -- said something like... a command, I think. [For some reason, the words ring clear in her mind, now that she's actually trying to grasp for it.] "Come to me, Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"

I can't remember anything clearly after that, besides a lot of screaming... and then I was back at my apartment.

Most likely, that part of you had always been... sleeping inside. It may have been already waking up, but either way, when it heard the command, it responded to that voice. Interesting...

But who was it? I can't really remember anything about the voice besides the fact it sounded powerful somehow. I don't even know if I'd recognize it even if I heard it.

I mean... I won't just change anytime someone demands it, right?

I doubt it. Most likely, that person was someone it knew to respond to, somehow. We can test your theory, if you like. I don't mind trying to call it out.

[moderndaydragon]

Yeah. I'd feel better knowing one way or the other. If it does work that way, then... I'll have to be even more careful about not letting anyone know about what I am.

[She runs her hand through her hair again, coming away with a few strands pulled loose from the nervous habit. Oh, great.]

Ug... I'm sorry, Bakura-kun. The only reason that thief guy knows is because I got irritated.

It can't be helped. As long as you didn't eat him, it should be fine. Besides, your dragon form is bigger than him. If he tries anything, you can just swat him aside, right?

At least until I need to sleep and he sneaks into my room to stab me while I do.

[It's only half-joking, the tint in her voice suggesting it's at least partly a real concern.]

Don't let him know where you sleep. We moved rooms recently just to avoid him.

Like I'd do that anyway.

[There's the forest again. That cliffside she can transform mostly hidden in shouldn't be too far, and she speeds up a bit to take the lead.]

I'm kind of scared of what he'd ask for. I'm hoping it's just typical "Be a dragon and scare off this person" kind of thing, honestly... or stealing, I guess.

[He lets her, amused.]

Well, you told him you wouldn't kill, so that doesn't leave him a lot of options. Maybe he just wants you for protection. He's made a few enemies here, you know?

Mmm... I could probably do that. Though maybe I could turn it back on him. Here, let me stick you on top of a cliff or bury you somewhere...

[She's fully joking now, grinning a little. That would piss him off too much, she doesn't have the courage to manage it.]

Aha, that's one way of getting rid of a problem! Though you'd have to feed him to make sure he doesn't die. What a pain~.

[Oh good, they're there. He hops up onto a rock, eyeing her.]

Only one way to find this out. [Ahem.]

I could probably just drop a bear every few days or so.

[Oh boy. Here it goes. She cringes as he speaks, and then --!

...Nothing. Nothing at all. She glances around, then at herself, before blowing out in relief. Phew!]

Oh, thank god.

[What a pain... Oh well. He hides his irritation with practiced skill.]

Too bad! I'd have liked my own pet dragon... Heh heh, just kidding.

Well, I kind of already am your "pet dragon," aren't I?

[Still joking, even if Bakura doesn't take it that way.]

Still, it's a relief. You don't need a command to get me to change to help you, after all! And other people not being able to do it is a relief, isn't it?

Of course! It'd be troublesome if someone like him figured out that, if it was the case. Speaking of which...

What does it feel like, to change like that? Does it feel wrong?

[moderndaydragon]

No, definitely not. It's kind of hard to describe, but... it's sort of like changing from one set of comfortable clothes to another just as comfortable one, sort of. Both forms feel comfortably like my own body, even if I don't really know how to control the other one fully.

It makes sense. Both sides of you are definitely 'you' after all.

[moderndaydragon]

One's just a lot larger and more scaly.

[fluffydeathdealer]

But both are still beautiful and strong.

[Sitting back, he flashes her a grin.]

So far we've learnt that there's someone who can call that other half of yours out, but otherwise, it's a free spirit. That's a start.

[moderndaydragon]

[That makes her flush a little, fidgeting with her hair. Working, right. They were out here for that.]

I'm still me even when I'm transformed, just with some different instincts added. I'm strong and can fly...
