[There's the forest again. That cliffside she can transform mostly hidden in shouldn't be too far, and she speeds up a bit to take the lead.]

I'm kind of scared of what he'd ask for. I'm hoping it's just typical "Be a dragon and scare off this person" kind of thing, honestly... or stealing, I guess.

[He lets her, amused.]

Well, you told him you wouldn't kill, so that doesn't leave him a lot of options. Maybe he just wants you for protection. He's made a few enemies here, you know?

[moderndaydragon]

Mmm... I could probably do that. Though maybe I could turn it back on him. Here, let me stick you on top of a cliff or bury you somewhere...

[She's fully joking now, grinning a little. That would piss him off too much, she doesn't have the courage to manage it.]

Aha, that's one way of getting rid of a problem! Though you'd have to feed him to make sure he doesn't die. What a pain~.

[Oh good, they're there. He hops up onto a rock, eyeing her.]

Only one way to find this out. [Ahem.]

I could probably just drop a bear every few days or so.

[Oh boy. Here it goes. She cringes as he speaks, and then --!

...Nothing. Nothing at all. She glances around, then at herself, before blowing out in relief. Phew!]

Oh, thank god.

[What a pain... Oh well. He hides his irritation with practiced skill.]

Too bad! I'd have liked my own pet dragon... Heh heh, just kidding.

[moderndaydragon]

Well, I kind of already am your "pet dragon," aren't I?

[Still joking, even if Bakura doesn't take it that way.]

Still, it's a relief. You don't need a command to get me to change to help you, after all! And other people not being able to do it is a relief, isn't it?

Of course! It'd be troublesome if someone like him figured out that, if it was the case. Speaking of which...

What does it feel like, to change like that? Does it feel wrong?

[moderndaydragon]

No, definitely not. It's kind of hard to describe, but... it's sort of like changing from one set of comfortable clothes to another just as comfortable one, sort of. Both forms feel comfortably like my own body, even if I don't really know how to control the other one fully.

It makes sense. Both sides of you are definitely 'you' after all.

One's just a lot larger and more scaly.

[fluffydeathdealer]

But both are still beautiful and strong.

[Sitting back, he flashes her a grin.]

So far we've learnt that there's someone who can call that other half of yours out, but otherwise, it's a free spirit. That's a start.

[moderndaydragon]

[That makes her flush a little, fidgeting with her hair. Working, right. They were out here for that.]

I'm still me even when I'm transformed, just with some different instincts added. I'm strong and can fly...

Can you do the 'burst stream'?

[moderndaydragon]

"Burst Stream"? I... don't think I tried anything like that.

[fluffydeathdealer]

It's the name for the attack the blue eyes does. That Horobi no Burst Stream where it throws a lightning blast out of its mouth.

[moderndaydragon]

Mm... I could try shooting it out at the barrier. That way, if it works, I don't hit anything important. At least not that we wanted to stay unbroken.

[fluffydeathdealer]

That's right, that's right! We could definitely do that. If it breaks, all the better!

All right! Let's see what I can do here!

[It's so easy, now, to tap into that energy and let it flow over her to change her shape.]

[moderndaydragon]

[Karasu sets her claws firmly in the ground, looking out to the ocean. Now that she's thinking of it, it's almost embarrassingly easy to instinctively know how to do it. Opening her jaw wide, she lets that light and lightning gather up in her mouth into a powerful frenzy before releasing it as that "breath," the Burst Stream shooting out like a shining beacon even in the daylight as it passes over the ocean.

Unfortunately, much like the Twin-Head, once it hits were that barrier is it fizzles out, as if the very energy itself is being drained.]

[Even so, he's amazed. For her, its so easy to tap into that power. He climbs up onto her back so he can pet her head, affectionately rather than condescendingly.]

Too bad! It seems that damn thing saps the energy out of whatever hits it.

[moderndaydragon]

[She seems surprised when he settles on her back, but not in a bad way. The petting gets a deep, happy rumble and she moves enough to nuzzle him a little, gently to make sure she doesn't knock him to the dirt.

Her gaze turns back out over the water, wings twitching a little at the memory of it bringing her straight down that one time. Damn thing...]

[His hand keeps petting in response to that rumble, a pleased smile on his face. He nuzzles her back, before following her gaze.]

Steady, now. Don't lose your temper...

[moderndaydragon]

[She nods a little, giving a confirming growl to show she's okay. She's not going to lose her temper over something like this. Though she does wonder...

Turning her head up, she gathers up the energy in her mouth again, firing it directly at the sky to test something. Higher and higher it goes, up and up... and then it dissolves the same as it did over the ocean, just like it's hit another barrier.

Growl...]
