[He tossed his knife aside, finishing his crude, but typically Egyptian styled drawing of what looks to be Ryou's shocked face and posture (in profile, of course) covered in scribbles....er, blood.] Then no! That's my water, how generous do you think I am?!

[Sigh. He figured. And what was with the exceptionally embarrassing artwork?] It's not like it runs out... But whatever you say.

[The only embarrassing thing here was the look on Ryou's face when that blood hit him!]

Not run out, h-hehehe...what do you take me for, Ba? I'd be mad if it weren't such a piss-poor lie. You can sit and suffer with the stink of blood tonight!

[Jeez. You really don't know much about modern life, huh? He shook his head with a sigh.]

Why not test it in one of the other rooms, then? Just leave the tap running and lock the door so nobody can turn it off. As long as you don't block up the sink, it shouldn't be a problem.

[Bakura scowled, growing irritated with his Ba's pointless lies.]

Shut up! I'm not wasting water like that! If I run out, I'll have to go all the way over to the stream just to get a drink.

[Sigh. He could just go home and hope Malik wasn't around. But it hasn't been nearly long enough yet for him to fall asleep or anything. He rubbed at the red liquid drying against his cheek irritably.]

You can ask anyone, you know. But I won't push the issue.

[What does he care if this jerk is stuck in the past?]

[The way he emphasizes the word certainly doesn't make it sound like innocent fun. Then again, this was the Great Thief King Bakura]

[What the hell does this guy consider fun? Besides, he's covered in blood. It's really not a good idea to go out like this.]

...Can I go home and change first?

[Without taking the chance that the guy might change his mind, he bolts for the door. Hopefully Malik won't notice him.]

The Thief King will just be following Ryou, although from quite a bit of a distance. Still, it should be enough to find out just exactly where it is he lives.]

[When he reaches the door, he checks it and finds it unlocked. Malik must still be inside. That or he forgot to lock it when he went out. Either way, he opens the door and slips inside.]

[Too bad Malik was in the kitchen, and he walks out to see what's up as soon as the door opens.

He almost drops the frying pan full of koshary he's holding upon seeing Ryou's bloodied state.]

Ryou, what the hell happened to you?!

[Fuck! It was rare for him to swear even silently, but being caught so easily is a pain.]

I-it's fine! It's not mine.

[Wait shit that made it sound worse-]

I... uhm. I promise I didn't kill anyone?

[He had planned on chewing Ryou out by the time he got back. But no, of course he had to ruin it by coming back soaked in blood!!

Malik's voice was cold and serious.]

...Is it the same thing that drenched the bathroom? Do we need to move again?

No, not at all! Someone just threw blood on me, that's all!

[...He didn't mean to be honest. Dammit.]

It's a pain, but I'm telling the truth...

What? [And then suddenly, he sounds his age.] Eww. Who would do that?

Feh... [Malik reaches back, pulling out his deck with a sour face.] Do I have to punish someone?

...eh? You'd do that for me?

[Not that Ryou approves of punishment, but he's surprised that Malik would do that for him after he got him hurt.]

I can't let people think they can just do whatever they want to my family. Even if I want to punish you myself right now for what you did earlier...

[He draws Twin-Headed Behemoth, summoning it just behind him.] This takes precedent.

[The teal-eyed head immediately bends down and scoops up the entirety of Malik's koshary dish with its tongue.] O-oy! That was mine!

I- is that so... [Malik, you act so tough, but your monsters are kinda jerks.]

Anyway, as much as I'd like to see him get his ass kicked, it's probably dangerous to mess around with him.

[obeytherod]

[With his food gone, Malik grumpily pushes the pan onto the counter.]

Suit yourself! The offer still stands. I'm going to go talk with Bakura.

[fluffydeathdealer]

Un. Sorry, Malik-kun. I'd just rather not start any wars while I'm here. Have fun!

[Sighing, he disappears into the bedroom to get clean clothes, then vanishes into the bathroom to wash the blood out and change. It's such a relief. He can still taste the blood on his lips and he makes a face as he realizes he just licked his lips. Ugh, gross... Well, time to go.]

I'm going out again!

[obeytherod]

[By the time Ryou comes out of the bathroom, Malik's laid across the entire couch with the Ring held loosely in one hand. His eyes were closed and he didn't bother to open them, or to answer, when Ryou bid him farewell.]

[Sighing softly, he slips out of the apartment again and heads back towards the thief king's room.]
