[He should have brought in some bread to dip in the soup... oh well. Taking the bowl in his hands, he lifts it to his mouth and sips at it. It's a curious question. He has been less stressed now that they've got a bit more space to themselves, and he's been having a lot of fun lately. But is that really a wise thing to say? Not everyone's as calm about this whole imprisonment thing as he is.]

Truthfully... I've been pretty good. I'm glad to see you're back to normal! ...or I assume so, at least.

[She seems to be acting normal, at least.]

Did your memory just come back on its own?

That's right. The next day I woke up remembering everything, and except for Jack asking me some questions, it was like it had never even happened.

[...And then Jack disappeared, just like he had never been there. Harriet frowns sadly for a moment, but she doesn't want to bother Ryou with it.]

Very few things are permanent here. Everything changes so quickly.

I see... that's something, at least.

[Ryou looks a little downcast at the mention of Jack, but doesn't comment on it. He just settles for eating his rice. If Bakura eats wildly, Ryou is almost as bad; he's polite, but quick, and the amount of food he can take in during a short time is surprising.]

But that also means that nothing bad really lasts, right? So it's not entirely terrible to live like that.

But good things don't either. Truly, we are living in the moment.

[Harriet quietly tries the rest of her food. The fish is pretty salty, she's not used to that. But the rice is a counterbalance to that, and she decides it's indeed tasty. She's realizing she said something a bit gloomy, so she tries to put a good spin on it.]

So, you been to the arcade and the gameroom yet?

[fluffydeathdealer]

But that's the same as anywhere. The one constant in life is that everything disappears in the end.

[That is pretty gloomy... He turns his attention to the food for a moment, scarfing it down with his usual enjoyment, and answers her after swallowing most of his rice down.]

They're probably my favourite places here! I was really excited to find them!

They definitely liven the place up a bit. And now you can play all the games without having to make them yourself first! Heheh.

I heard you were making something for Malik though. How's it coming?

[fluffydeathdealer]

Eh? Do you mean the Monster World set? That's almost all done! I just have to finish making your piece. But this is kind of fortuitous! I wanted to ask you what class and species you were thinking of playing. Malik said to just make you a pixie-fairy that could fit into any magic using role, but I wanted to know before I put any details onto it.

Do you have any ideas of what your play type might be? I can give you a rundown of the species and classes if you don't.

[Harriet blinks. He was just gonna pick for her? She'd be annoyed, but he was pretty much on the nose, so she lets it slide with a bit of a hesitant look.]

...He knows my taste. If there's a fairy race then I'm not likely to pick anything else.

As for classes, a rundown would help, but whatever does the most damage is fine by me!

Pixie-fairies can fly, have high wisdom stats and aren't very physically strong, so the best classes for those would probably be...

Magician, Enchanter, Diabolist, Illusionist or White Wizard. I usually play the White Wizard role myself, and it's not very dangerous in terms of attack, so that shouldn't be a problem... I'd say Magician or Diabolist would probably be the most dangerous if leveled right. Magicians focus on magical damage, while Diabolists focus on summoning. For direct damage, Magicians are probably better. Diabolist is kind of a weak role early on, so leveling is a pain.

[she nods thoughtfully.]

Magician sounds just fine. I prefer direct damage, to be honest!

[Ryou grins a little and nods.]

Then that's easily done! If you think you'll stick to that race, I'll make her wings non-detachable. It's easier that way.

{Maybe he'll give the magician a rose staff...]

Yeah, go ahead. It sounds lovely, Ryou.

[Finishing his food, he gives his thanks quietly before picking up his tea. It's gotten a bit cold, but he sips at it slowly anyway.]

It's going to be fun! I've missed TRPGs, so I'm really glad you agreed to it.

Maybe we can play sometime soon then. I'm probably going to be here for a few days at least.

Un! It won't take me long to finish your figure so, giving it time for the paint to dry, after a couple of days it should be fine.

Who knows...? He's had months, but he's been really busy a lot. I usually write my campaigns up ahead of time but I think he's just going to try to do it from memory. Either that or he's making his up when I'm asleep.

[He looks a little sheepish.]

[whiterosefoes]

It's possible...

[Isn't he asleep most of the time? Or maybe it just seems that way to Harriet since the spirit appears to like her. Though the idea that maybe Ryou gets less time because he comes out to see her... man, why do things have to be so complicated?

She's just gonna focus on her food a bit. That won't last long though, since she's very nearly done herself. With a small smile, she looks up again.]

This is all very delicious, by the way.

[Truthfully, the opposite was probably true. The more the Spirit came to like people, the more he reluctantly handed control of 'his' body back to its' original owner for their sakes. Though it was still very limited, it was more freedom than he'd had since the last couple of days of Duelist Kingdom.

It was kind of sad that to Ryou, this was an improvement worthy of being happy about. Sipping his tea, he gives her a friendly smile.]

I've always liked cooking. It's probably a good thing, since I've lived alone for a long time, but it means I get a lot of practice.

[He'd probably make a good wife someday.]

You must really enjoy it. I moved out on my own at the soonest opportunity, but I always felt odd cooking elaborate meals for just me.

[fluffydeathdealer]

...eh? This is elaborate for you?

[Ryou blinks at her as if she grew another head.]

[what's with that look?]

...W-Well yeah. You've got so many side dishes! I'd usually just get some cereal.

[fluffydeathdealer]

This is a pretty ordinary breakfast back in Japan... I can't imagine just having cereal. People only really eat things like toast and cereal when they're in a real rush in the mornings.

...well, maybe I make a little more than usual in terms of quantity, but it's still pretty ordinary as traditional breakfasts go.

[whiterosefoes]

Hmm... well, if you put it that way, I suppose the "full" English breakfast is more complex as well. I guess I'm just lazy!

If you like living that way, it's fine, isn't it? You're not hurting anyone, after all. Would you rather just have cereal in the mornings?
